Last Sunday, I saw that blue mermaid again. The one who has a maze tattooed on her skin. She came with her net, knives and hooks. I only got to see her there, because for a moment, she did not see me. She was staring up. I can't say she was frowning, but definitely her gaze was lost somewhere, beyond where she can live.
She sunk her spear on the ground, looking through the water.
Somehow, regardless of the number of blades she wore around her breastbone she was, disarmed.
The time it took, for her, to run a fistful of sand in her hand. The memory it brought.
She stood, realising how colourful and transparent the sea was. She saw me.
She could have speared me right there. She looked up, and I knew that look.
I saw a wild creature who loves and can't fight against nor for it.
I guess she saw the same thing.
Hoobastank - The Reason

Ca me suffit.
